Pregnant BellyPregnant? Wondering about how best to prepare? Looking for answers? You've to come to the right place!

Imagine for a moment how your baby's birth could be if you went into labor with more confidence; feeling comfortable with skills to reduce your perception of sensation, to relax deeply, stay focused, and work with the rhythm and flow of birth more effectively. And your partner felt confident supporting you, in ways that nurture you, while bringing the 2 of you closer together as a couple.

It is truly possible, utilizing the power of your mind and the body-mind connection. This is what Hypnosis for Birth offers birthing moms and their partners.

video link The picture to right is a link to a birth video from a previous client. She writes: "I took private hypnosis classes with you 2 years ago when my second son was born. It was a beautiful and calm birth using the skills you taught my husband and I. We had our daughter 8 weeks ago and recorded the birth so I wanted to share this beautiful video with you to thank you for the wonderful skills you taught us. I am so thrilled with both of these birthing experiences thanks to your classes." Katie E.

Hypnosis for Birth Helps to:

The skills and tools provided by Hypnosis for Birth are also life skills that you can use well beyond your pregnancy and birth.

With a baby on the way there is so many choices to sort through and decide upon! Childbirth preparation is one of pregnant couplethose areas that can seem overwhelming with choices. The good news is that regardless of your childbirth class or the type of birth you are hoping for, Hypnosis for Birth is a very helpful and powerful addition to your preparation.

Often people are surprised at the idea of using hypnosis for birth. Actually, it has been used in childbirth since the early 1950's. In the late 1950's the American Medical Association (AMA) recognized hypnosis as a valuable tool for health professionals. Beginning in the early 1990's using hypnosis in childbirth exploded into the mainstream around the world. This is due largely to the work and efforts of Marie Mongan and her HypnoBirthing the Mongan Method®.

The techniques I teach in Hypnosis for Birth have their foundation in HypnoBirthing the Mongan Method® along with several other hypnosis techniques for childbirth and pain management, as well as my personal experiences attending over 365 births as a birth doula and midwive's assistant.

Hypnosis for childbirth has continued to generate positivepregnant couple media attention. Now scientific research results are proving the effectiveness of using hypnosis for childbirth. [See the Resources page to read some of these exciting results.]

The statistics and ongoing research are showing that women using hypnosis skills in labor experience more positive birth experiences, with less pain, require less medications, need fewer interventions (such as forceps, C-sections, etc.), and have shorter labor times.
